Megan fell in love with the queen conch when she was 16 sailing in the Bahamas with her family. Her passion to grow and conserve the conch followed her to college and then to the Turks and Caicos where she was the co-founder of the World's first conch farm. Megan's pioneering spirt led her to being a co-inventor of the techniques to culture queen conch pearls. Laura Issac Norton graduated from Florida Atlantic University with her Master’s in Marine Science and Oceanography. During her time at #FAU, she traveled to The Bahamas to help design and operate a queen conch restoration hatchery. In fact, she spent so much time in the water studying the queen conch, the community nicknamed her the "conch girl".Check out this great video
